Introduction to the Xsien Management System [XMS]

Welcome to the XSiEN Management System, or otherwise referred to as the XMS. This overview briefly details the the strengths of the XMS and is a guide of not simply 'how to use it' but where to use it and why.

As you will discover, the XMS has many advantages over paper based systems and other software. A core advantage is that the XMS streamlines the way in which data is input so that it relies less on the user re-inputting data into different modules. The user interface has been designed more inline with a desktop operating system such as Windows Vista or Mac OSX than an online product. The XMS is programmed to be easily accessible for the user and extremely versatile. A combination of emerging technologies with robust, proven programming make the XMS simple to use and a powerful tool for any company in the Construction industry.

It is important to remember, as with any Management tool that it relies on the input of the User; more over the input of the user being accurate. The XMS can help quickly identify user input error.

The XMS will not remove 100% of a company's paper based activities. What it will assist with is the removal of repetitive tasks, bringing important actionable information to you and increasing communication between the company and it's office and site staff.

Being based solely online, the XMS has the advantage of multiple users logging on at any one time from any device running the internet browser Firefox or Prism. The PDA mode can be run on any mobile phone or PDA that operates Internet Explorer CE. Because the XMS is online, all data retrieved from either Computer or Mobile phone is always up to date. Because the XMS operates with a Secure Certificate, you know any data inputted is safe during transmission. Because the server housing the XMS' is based in the London Housing Company at Canary Wharf, you know the data is stored extremely securely.

System requirements
Whilst the XMS will work with most computers it must have an active connection to the internet and have the Mozilla Firefox browser installed.

The Mozilla Firefox web browser offers the most advanced web browser facilities above Microsoft's Internet Explorer.
